When and why did Luna merge with Advanced Photonix?
On May 8, 2015 the merger between Luna and Advanced Photonix, Inc. was completed. Joining forces, the combined company has a strengthened position in optical technology and looks to leverage both companies’ capabilities to grow shareholder value.

Luna provides unique capabilities in high speed optoelectronics and high performance fiber optic test products for the telecommunications industry and distributed fiber optic sensing for the aerospace and automotive industries.
